Servizz ta’ Breakfast Club

Għeziez Ġenituri / Carers,

Waħda mill-inizzjattivi mħabbra fil-Baġit 2014 kienet is-servizz ta’ Breakfast Club fil-Kindergarten u Skejjel Primarji tal-Istat mill-Ministeru għall-Edukazzjoni u x-Xogħol.  Dan is-servizz qed jingħata lit-tfal li għandhom il-genituri tagħhom jaħdmu u li jixtiequ jieħdu lill-uliedhom lis-skola siegħa qabel ma jiftħu l-klassijiet. 

Jekk intom interessati li tagħmlu uzu minn dan is-servizz, jew tixtiequ aktar informazzjoni, intom mitluba tkellmu lill-kap tal-iskola.

Breakfast Club Service

Dear Parents / Carers,

One of the initiatives announced in Budget 2014 was the launching of a Breakfast Club Service for children in Kindergarten and Primary Schools by the Ministry for Education and Employment.  This scheme is open for employed parents who wish to take their children to school an hour before official classes open.  This service will be provided free of charge.

If you are interested to avail yourself of this service, or would like to have further information, please contact the Head of School.

Professional Development Sessions on Co-Education

Four Professional Development Sessions for teachers at both the GC Boys’ Secondary School and at the GC Girls’ Secondary School, were held on Friday 28th March 2014; on Friday 4th April 2014; on Monday 7th April 2014, and on Monday 14th April 2014 from 3.00 p.m. and 5.00 p.m. 
Mr Geoffrey Scerri, ex-Headteacher at various co-ed Private Schools, and Ms Maria Ciappara, ex-College Principal at St Clare’s College, the first college which embarked on co-education, animated the sessions. 

Story-telling Training for Parents and Educators

 The United States Embassy in Malta is offering to host a special session of story-telling training for parents and educators.

The 90-minute session will be presented by the famous Mr David Gonzalez, and allows the audience the opportunity to discuss the topic and to ask questions.  Among other awards, Mr Gonzalez is the proud recipient of the 2011 International Performing Arts for Youth ‘Lifetime Achievement Award for Sustained Excellence.’

This event will be held on Thursday 8th May 2014 at 16.00 hours at the San Gorg Preca College, Hamrun GP Primary, Guze Pace Street, Hamrun (next to Student Services Department).

All expenses incurred will be covered by the US Embassy and the session is being offered free of charge.  A maximum of 200 people will be accepted so booking is open on first come first served basis.  Kindly call the undersigned on 27451011 or email to reserve seating.
