Nhar is-17 ta’ Jannar 2017, il-Ministru tal-Edukazzjoni u Xogħol l-Onor. Evarist Bartolo fetaħ uffiċjalment iċ-Ċentru tal-Litteriżmu Doris Vella, fil-Kulleġġ ta’ Għawdex. Il-Kap Eżekuttiv tal-Aġenzija Nazzjonali tal-Litteriżmu s-Sur David Muscat flimkien mal-Prinċipal tal-Kulleġġ is-Sur Victor Galea u warajh Dr. Denise Mifsud, ħadmu id f’id flimkien biex illum għandna dan iċ-Ċentru. Il-post huwa mgħammar b’riżorsi edukattivi li jistgħu jagħmlu użu minnhom l-għalliema u l-Learning Support Assistants waqt is-sezzjonijiet ta’ tagħlim fil-klassijiet. F’dan iċ-Ċentru nsibu minjiera ta’ riżorsi bħal kotba kbar għal qari ta’ stejjer, kotba għal qari ggwidat, CD’s b’għanjiet bil-Malti, eċċ. Iċ-Ċentru tal-Litteriżmu ġie msemmi għal Doris Vella, għalliema li tul ħajjitha ħadmet ħafna biex it-tfal tagħna jitgħallmu jħobbu l-ktieb. Dan hu l-għan prinċipali ta’ dan iċ-Ċentru, li l-istudenti tagħna jkomplu jtejbu l-ħiliet tagħhom fil-kitba u fil-qari.
